RE: Scholarship Application
Dear sir/Madam,
I am writing to you in regards to my application to the Masters of Science (MSc.) program at your prestigious university in the USA. As an international student, I am pleased to have received an admission offer accompanied by an annual merit scholarship of 30% of tuition fee. However, I am writing to humbly request for a further discount from 30% to 48%.
I understand that the university has certain regulations and policies in place when it comes to scholarships and tuition fees. I am sponsoring the program myself and therefore, I am unable to provide evidence of financial hardship. Nevertheless, I am hoping that the admissions committee will consider my request.
I am an academically strong student and I have already joined the university. I am committed to continuing my studies and I am confident that I will acquire the necessary knowledge and skillsets to excel in my chosen field. Furthermore, I am confident that I will be able to make meaningful contributions to the university and my community. I am highly motivated and passionate about learning. I have a keen interest in sciences and this gives me the confidence to make significant contribution to the Masters in Science Program that I wish enroll in once admitted to the institution. I am also willing to take on any assignments or projects that may be required for the completion of the program.
I am certain that I will be a valuable asset to the university, and I am hoping that the admission committee will take into consideration my request for a further discount. I understand that the university has limited resources and I respect any decision made.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter. I confirm that I will continue being a great asset to the institution’s community, and, therefore, believe that I will hear from you regarding this scholarship offer with a favorable response.
